Myriam Alter's New Album

Alter's music is always so basically elemental and poetic in the best sense of those words. Here, in her new album, she is paired up with a superb bassist  who manages to integrate his sound into her pensive compositions extending their meanings. The disc is exceptionally recorded providing an intimate presence to the listener. Let's hope more musicians interpret her compact compositions in the near future as they are better than just about anything else out there.
